Students of communication science courses (BA JoKo and MA Kodi) at the University of Passau have access to all services related to cross-media media production as well as other media services of the Center for Information Technology and Media Management (ZIM) at the Centre for Media and Communication (ZMK).

In addition to state-of-the-art media technology, the building houses seminar rooms and the offices of most of the chairs and professorships of the Communication Section and their staff.

The ZMK's offerings, which are geared toward practical media training, are primarily aimed at students in the "Journalism and Strategic Communication" (BA) and "Communication in the Digital Society" (MA) degree programs. In addition, students of other degree programs can also benefit from ZIM's media services.
