The center aims to link "practice and research" and addresses in numerous events subject and cross-system questions about the conditions, framework conditions and content of professional work in educational institutions.  In the Transfer Center, conferences, further training programs, projects or international guest lectures on the topic of training and education as well as accompanying research and school development projects are coordinated.

Due to its social significance, some projects are permanently implemented at the chair:

(d) Education for sustainable development: BNE-project
