Programmes for Academic Staff

The mid-level academic staff is a cornerstone of the faculty and an essential element of its strategic goals. In this dynamic phase of their careers, researchers should possess the necessary flexibility to seize international opportunities, build networks, and drive cross-border research. Their dual role in research and teaching connects them closely with students, offering a unique opportunity to integrate international perspectives into both daily teaching and scientific work. This not only strengthens the internationalization of the mid-level staff but also supports students' access to global experiences and the advancement of international research collaborations. To achieve these objectives, the faculty offers two program lines: one for international exchange and one for fostering young academic talent. These programs have been designed to close the gap in international early-career researcher support.
Programme line 1: Internationalisation-at-Home
Promotes collaboration between faculty members and students with international partner universities through digital co-teaching seminars. These seminars expand the discourse with international perspectives and strengthen both intercultural and technical collaboration, supporting the internationalization and personal scientific development of the involved staff members.
Programme line 2:
Supports academic staff in initiating international research projects, conducting teaching stays at partner universities, and promoting early-career researchers in an international context. These lines aim to strengthen international networking, foster the exchange of ideas and methods, and provide participants with valuable experience in global scientific and teaching-oriented initiatives.
